Pepsi Max launches new phase of campaign, offers free rides to Sydneysiders
Pepsi Max has partnered with GoCatch, launching the latest phase its ‘disruptive’ Max campaign by offering Sydney locals free rides in the Pepsi Max Kombi for the month.
The multimillion-dollar summer campaign, which launched in November, has included work with V8 Supercar driver Chaz Mostert, partnerships with social websites, and the Combi van’s December offering of free transport to the beach.
As part of the new instalment, 15,000 Pepsi Max cans will be offered in GoCatch vehicles over the Australia Day weekend, and a promotion through Pedestrian.TV will give one customer and four friends the chance to be chauffeured by the van on Australia Day.

Why would anyone want to ride in that vs. just get an uber or taxi?
Because it’s free?
How to devalue your brand and turn consumers off 101.
I did a similar activation in Brisbane for a bourbon brand launch using massive F250 American style trucks and had no shortage of people keen for a ride.
This is cool campaigning 🙂
Is this another example of a Sydney centric promotion , if so when will agencies acknowledge 65% of Australia is not in NSW.
