Snap Inc. names ANZ talent partnerships lead

Snap Inc. has appointed senior creative producer, APAC, Chris Lewis, to talent partnerships lead for Australia and New Zealand.
In his new position, Lewis is expected to spearhead onboarding, strategy and outreach operations covering local creators. At the same time, the expert creative will craft partnerships that are forward-thinking and impactful.
Specifically, Lewis’ work will see him managing relationships with content creators and key public personnel in New Zealand and Australia, helping them to leverage Snap Inc.’s social platform, Snapchat, for greater monetisation opportunities and brand partnerships.
Additionally, the former creative project manager at Pedestrian Group will collaborate with Snap Inc.’s international Content Partnerships team to develop an “editorial perspective for local content”.
“As we kick off 2025, I’m really looking forward to connecting with and supporting our growing, thriving and talented local community of Snap Stars,” Lewis shared.
“I’m also passionate about helping Aussie and Kiwi creators who may not have engaged with Snapchat or haven’t yet found their footing on the platform to feel confident about maximising all of the creative content creation tools and monetisation opportunities Snapchat has to offer.”
Lewis first joined Snap in March 2020, where he served as a creative project manager for Snapchat for just over one year, before becoming a creative producer focusing on the APAC region. He stepped into the senior creative producer, APAC role in September 2022.
Overall, he boasts more than 15 years of experience covering talent management and campaign management, media partnerships and branded content production.
While at the social media company, Lewis has overseen Snap’s production, such as “Augmented Reality to sponsored video campaigns, as well as talent and influencer integration”.
“The appointment of Chris as our first Talent Partnerships Lead for ANZ is just one example of how we’re investing further in the growth of our creator community across the Tasman,” explained Snap Inc.’s newly minted managing director for Australia and New Zealand, Ryan Ferguson.
“And I’m really excited about the new opportunities that building out this team will offer advertisers in Australia and New Zealand to connect authentically with our highly engaged Snapchat community via local creators.”
Lewis’ appointment comes in the wake of Snapchat’s recently announced “Monetisation Program that places ads within a creator’s Stories and longer Spotlight videos”.
The program will come into effect on 1 February, 2025.
