Tara Ford named among Cannes Lions 2025 jury presidents

The Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity has revealed the line-up of 2025 jury presidents, including Droga5 ANZ and Accenture Song APAC’s chief creative officer, Tara Ford.

Ahead of its 72nd edition in June, the Cannes Lions jury presidents have been chosen to benchmark excellence across the world’s best creative and effective work.

“We are excited to welcome a diverse and forward-thinking group of leaders who understand the transformative power of creative excellence to drive business growth and impact,” said Simon Cook, CEO of the Lions.

“All experts in their field, their incredible talent, combined with the commitment and leadership they bring to their roles, ensures the highest levels of integrity and rigor in the judging process. We thank them for all that they will bring to the important task ahead of them in June.”

2025 will feature significant updates to the awards, including the renaming of the Social and Influencer Lion to the Social and Creator Lion, to acknowledge the growing role of the creator economy in today’s marketing landscape.

TBWA\Media Arts Lab’s global chief digital officer, Beth Keamy, will serve as jury president for this category, bringing her expertise in digital innovation.

Also changing in 2025 is the Glass: The Lion for Change award, which will be redefined to reflect a more expansive vision for social equity.

The award’s scope will broaden beyond gender to celebrate creative excellence that promotes more equitable representation across a wider range of communities, including disability, race, sexuality, and social inequity.

KR Liu, global head of disability innovation at Google, a celebrated advocate for inclusion and innovation, will play a vital role in championing these transformative creative solutions as the category’s jury president.

Australia’s own Tara Ford, chief creative officer at Droga5 ANZ and Accenture Song APAC, will serve as the jury president for the Brand Experience and Activation category.

“Beyond excited to be named jury president of Brand Experience & Activation at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2025,” Ford wrote on LinkedIn on Friday morning.

“I hope to see some truly inventive, category busting work. Can’t wait to meet the talented jury and get into setting the global benchmark.”

The jury presidents for the Design Lions and Entertainment Lions for Sport will also be announced shortly.
