Since 1935, Australian Associated Press (AAP) has been Australia’s only national news agency. AAP supplies breaking news media content to the nation’s media. Over the course of a year, AAP will send out 4000 data files and 1.6 billion words to its media subscribers. More than 3500 news, sport and feature photographs are offered daily, feeding an archive of 3 million photos. The organisation is supported by 200 journalists around the group, including global agency networks. AAP also offers additional services including media release distribution, media monitoring, page ready services and message distribution.
