Snapchat announces AI-powered brand experiences tool, Sponsored AI Lenses

Snapchat has introduced a new feature – Sponsored AI Lenses – that allows “brands to create personalized, AI-generated images that place Snapchatters at the centre of unique brand experiences”.

Today, Snapchat has introduced Sponsored AI Lenses, a new ad format powered by Snap’s proprietary generative AI technology (One Snap).

Sponsored AI Lenses allow brands to create personalized, AI-generated images that place Snapchatters at the centre of unique brand experiences. Snapchatters can transform themselves in imaginative ways and immerse themselves in new environments through an ad format that aligns naturally with user habits, driving high engagement and deep brand storytelling for advertisers on the platform.

Brands like Uber and Tinder have already found success in using Sponsored AI Lenses to engage with consumers. For Thanksgiving, Uber launched their “My Thanksgiving Vibe” AI Lens, and for New Years Eve, Tinder launched their “My 2025 Dating Vibe” AI Lens. Both brands saw higher than average playtime with this immersive AI format. Additionally, Artists like Coldplay have also used AI Lenses to bring their fans into their celestial universe for the launch of Moon Music.
