‘Glow from an O’: Lovehoney and local skincare clinic team up for Sydney pop up event
Sexual wellness brand, Lovehoney, has partnered with skincare clinic Fayshell to create a “revolutionary” skincare experience where beauty and pleasure meet, via CampaignLab.
The world-first pop up clinic aims to provide Sydneysiders with a unique opportunity to achieve youthful skin, through the scientific and consumer-backed benefits of pleasure.
Valued at $350+ per person, the free pop-up – Orgasmic Skin – will teach people how to “glow from an O”.
With research finding that orgasms help release oestrogen, boosting collagen and providing anti-ageing benefits, Lovehoney tested that among Aussies, and found 71% noticed a healthier glow after sexual activity, 37% clearer skin, and 9% even noticed smaller pores.
The experience will provide consumers a 60-minute bespoke facial and a ‘Glow At Home’ bag featuring personalised skincare plans and products, as well as a Lovehoney toy.
CampaignLab was responsible for all creative, experiential, PR, social, influencer, and content aspects of the campaign.
Founder and director of the agency, Andy Scales, said: “Social media is flooded with the latest skincare trends and routines. We wanted to join the conversation with our partners Lovehoney and redefine beauty routines using the scientifically backed connection between pleasure and skin health.
“Orgasmic Skin gives Aussies a chance to try this new pleasure-based self care for free and get expert advice to kick off a new glowing skincare routine.”
Lovehoney’s head director of ANZ, Charlie Ganzen, spoke to Mumbrella earlier this year about the challenges that come with marketing such a brand like Lovehoney, and how his team is getting creative to destigmatise the topic of sexual wellness and self pleasure. He said this new campaign is a great example of how the brand is doing this, how it is breaking down barriers and normalising the topic.
“As a brand we’re all about promoting sexual happiness and making it part of everyday conversations. We know that the benefits of orgasms go far beyond the bedroom and our Orgasmic Skin campaign highlights that perfectly,” he said.
“The feedback so far has been incredible. Within 48hrs of launching, we were fully booked and had more than 1,200 people on the waitlist for the next batch of appointments.”
The pop-up is now open until December 8th, at the Organic Skin Clinic in Sydney’s Neutral Bay.
